Project 4
GROUNDBREAKERS
LANDSCAPING also work in conjunction with other
designers. This garden has been designed by
‘The Garden Path’. Construction consisted of
excavation for a paved Courtyard area immediately
from the house and steps linking upper and lower
lawn areas. The retaining and built in Planter
box has been constructed using sustainable Macrocarpa
sleepers treated for in ground contact. Another
paved Courtyard area using the same concrete
flagstone pavers has been built around the side
of the house. This area has built in seating.
A crushed lime path links to the front of the
house.
Project 5
The
client requested an area for a mobile outdoor
pizza oven. The client wanted a large
outdoor space for entertaining family and friends.
It had to be close to the house and contain
the ability to incorporate an outdoor kitchen
bench, sink and food preparation area.
The area would be ideally suited for all weather
cooking and socializing. The photos indicate
stage one which consists of a large deck and
pergola. The decking is sustainably milled 150
x 40mm Mahogany. The Mahogany deck and timber
wall/splashback has been coated with a natural
oil to highlight the timbers natural beauty.
The timber wall/splashback between the
pergola posts are to provide a backing area
for new cupboards and granite benchtops to be
made up at a later date. The stained timber
pergola has been designed for a removeable
waterproof shade cover. Dropdown clear window
awnings will provide a all weather outdoor room.
