Akatarawa 360 Landscape

This award-winning new build in the Akatarawa Valley, Upper Hutt, featured a complete landscape design and build by Groundbreakers Landscaping. The brief called for multiple seating areas to suit changing sun, wind, and views, as well as secure spaces for the owners’ three small dogs. We began with new perimeter fencing, then constructed five decks — three off the bedrooms and two larger ones off the living areas — plus two paved areas and 250m² of premium artificial grass for year-round use. Timber slat screens were added to conceal utilities, along with two kitset sheds for extra storage. Bespoke corten steel gates created a striking entrance, and the project was finished with mature griselinia hedging and native planting up the driveway.
