The brief for this build was to create an inviting outdoor entertaining space seamlessly connected to the house. Groundbreakers Landscaping Ltd designed and built a striking extension to the client’s living area by extending and recladding the old kwila deck. An outdoor room with a clear polycarbonate roof brings light into the home, while shutters on the sides provide shelter and flexibility. A bespoke kitchen and BBQ area was added, complete with a custom granite benchtop, garapa slat fascia, built-in cabinetry, fridge, sink, and BBQ — an entertainer’s dream. Below the deck, granite pavers in two tones define areas for a spa pool and outdoor dining. The space is finished with new lawn, custom seating, and lush planting, and at night it transforms with subtle ambient lighting.
